This accolade recognizes her outstanding contributions to the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing and her unwavering commitment to excellence.

Mrs. Barangan, a proud graduate of BSP in 1985 and MSIP in 2005, currently serves as the Vice President for Manufacturing at EL Laboratories, Inc. Her expertise and leadership have been instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring high-quality standards within the industry. As a Professorial Lecturer for the UP College of Pharmacy, she also imparts her wealth of knowledge and experience to the next generation of aspiring pharmacists.

One of Mrs. Barangan’s most notable achievements is her groundbreaking research in pharmaceutical manufacturing. She has spearheaded numerous studies, including the development of a cleaning validation guideline specifically tailored for Philippine Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. Her efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing safety and efficacy in the production of pharmaceutical products.

Her exceptional contributions have garnered international recognition as well. Mrs. Barangan received the Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) Ishidate Award for Pharmaceutical Industry in 2004, acknowledging her outstanding accomplishments and dedication to the field. Furthermore, she was honored with the PRC Outstanding Professional for Pharmacy award in 2015, and the PPhA Outstanding Pharmacist for Industry award in the same year, solidifying her status as an esteemed professional in the pharmacy industry.

In addition to her exemplary career achievements, Mrs. Barangan has demonstrated her commitment to fostering strong alumni connections and giving back to her alma mater. She is the Founding President of the UP College of Pharmacy Alumni Association, Inc., and her visionary leadership has played a pivotal role in establishing a vibrant and supportive community of pharmacy alumni.
