With her outstanding achievements and contributions to the field of industrial-clinical research, Mrs. Arellano has proven herself to be a trailblazer in the pharmaceutical industry.

Currently serving as the Country Head & Director of Clinical Services at Novotech (Australia) Pty. Ltd. in the Philippines, Mrs. Arellano has played a pivotal role in advancing the Philippine clinical research landscape. Her extensive expertise and leadership have positioned her as a key contributor to the development of key policies, regulations, and ethical guidelines in the field of health research.

Mrs. Arellano’s notable contributions include her involvement in promotion of policies such as the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Law, in particularly provided inputs in the National Ethical Guidelines for Health Research. She has also been instrumental in formulating various regulations for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Department of Health (DOH). Her commitment to ensuring ethical standards and patient safety has made a significant impact on the industry’s overall integrity.

During the challenging times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs. Arellano willingly offered her expertise on a voluntary basis to support the Department of Health’s efforts. Her operational insights, project management skills, and monitoring expertise proved invaluable in the successful execution of three DOH-led COVID trials. Her unwavering dedication to advancing medical research and improving public health has been commendable.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Mrs. Arellano has made significant contributions to the growth and development of the clinical research community in the Philippines. She is the proud organizer and Founding President of the Philippine Clinical Research Professionals, Inc. Through this organization, she has fostered a collaborative environment for professionals in the field, promoting knowledge sharing, skill development, and networking opportunities.
